Puerto Rican born and New England-based guitarist, Lorena Garay is as ecclectic as her background. She prefers to play a style that is a blend of traditional classic guitar to Spanish guitar as well as Latin rhythms. She has had classical music training at the Hartt School of Music as well as the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico.

El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, also known as El Gran Combo, is a Puerto Rican Salsa music orchestra. El Gran is Puerto Rico’s most successful musical group, and one of Salsa’s most famous groups acorss Latin America. El Gran Combo was founded by Rafael Ithier in May 1962 and he is still the orchestra’s pianist and musical director. The group is currently promoting their latest album, Arroz con Habichuela.

Choco Orta – “Punto Y Se Acabo”

Salsa Diva, Choco Orta, was born in Santurce, San Juan, Purto Rico in 1959. She is highly recognized as an accomplished singer, percussionist, actor and dancer. As a sonera, (improvesational vocalist) this Puerto Rican sensation has a passionate and extroverted style which makes the most of her sensual, deep and emotional contro-alto voice. The performer is foten considered the natural successor to Celia Cruz.
